One man was killed and another critically injured in a shooting Tuesday evening in New Brunswick, authorities said.
Numi Simmons, 23, of New Brunswick, was pronounced dead at an area hospital after being shot at about 6:50 p.m. near the corner of Throop Avenue and Delavan Street, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said.
The other man is hospitalized in critical condition. The men were targeted and the prosecutor’s office said there is no danger to the public.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
