Col. (Ret.) William J. Spataro, 84, of Highland Park passed away on Sunday October 22, 2023. He was born in New Brunswick. Bill, as he was known to friends, proudly served in the United States Army from 1961-1988, stationed primarily at Camp Kilmer in Edison. A man of great faith, he was an active volunteer with his local church community of St. Peter the Apostle and the Jesuit community at Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City.
William was predeceased by his wife, Gail C. Spataro. He is survived by his sons, Matthew and his wife Laura of Riverton, NJ and Thomas and his wife Jackie of Stow, MA and six adoring grandchildren Grace, Clare, Nicholas, Annabelle, William, and Lilly, as well as many extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 4-8PM at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, 10AM at St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
