Suspicious Deaths Under Investigation by Dominica Police
The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is currently working on a series of investigations as they dive into a string of suspicious deaths that have rocked the Caribbean island nation in the recent past. The most recent incident, which occurred on December 22, 2023, in Woodford Hill, involves the death of 61-year-old Jalyn Africa who was found deceased in her bed with head injuries. The victim’s body was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor and is currently awaiting an autopsy at a funeral home.
Public Appeal for Information
The CDPF has appealed to the public for any information that may shed light on the circumstances surrounding Jalyn Africa’s death. The police force has also extended its condolences to the bereaved family, emphasizing its commitment to bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice.
Another Homicide in Woodford Hill
In the same locale of Woodford Hill, another investigation is underway involving the tragic death of Mark Lewis. His brother, Aaron Lewis, is currently in custody for his alleged involvement in the homicide. Aaron is accused of fatally assaulting Mark with an iron bar earlier in the month, a charge that has led to his remand at the Dominica State Prison.
A Third Mysterious Death
Separately, the CDPF is also investigating the death of Patrickson Thomas of Glanvillia, Portsmouth. Thomas had left his home on May 2, 2023, and was found dead later. The circumstances surrounding his untimely demise remain a mystery, prompting the police to actively seek information from the public relating to these cases. The CDPF continues to battle against these unfortunate incidents, determined to uphold the law and order of the island nation.
